Alt-Admins does not work in TSP
The alternate administrators feature in Task Scheduler Pro works properly. Rather, Microsoft included an update a few years back which changed the authentication model of the iTask (DCOM) interface which does not allow for user impersonation. As a result, the use of alternate administrators when attempting to set task credentials fails.
There is no workaround for this behavior and Microsoft has no intention of reverting this behavior though they are aware of the trouble it has caused for us, you , and other vendors.
Alternate Administrators can still be utilized in TSP for the purposes of viewing or deleting tasks.
