Q: Can ERPM manage its own SQL or Oracle database services?

A: If the services that are running the MS SQL or Oracle that is hosting the ERPM data store are configured to run as a service account, this service account cannot be managed by ERPM as updating the services will take the database that ERPM is using offline during the changes. This process will stop the console and deferred processor and website out of commission during the service restart. If the database becomes unavailable during a password change job, the change job will never automatically continue.
