Linux password verification report does not work.

Q: I use version 4.81 and when I run the password verification report against Linux machines via the Manage | Verify Stored Passwords drop down list, the report states “Logon Failure – Username or password incorrect.” The log contains an entry stating “Could not verify stored password for Linux account, Linux integration module could not be loaded.” I tested the stored password by logging in with it to the target Linux machine so why can’t I run a report verifying its accuracy?

A: A library file called RouletteIntegrationLinux.dll is missing from version 4.81 of ERPM and RPM.

The fix has been posted to http://ftp.liebsoft.com/ERPM/Dll.zip.

Download the zip file and extract its contents onto the machine hosting the ERPM management console. It does not matter what location you extract it to but if you want to keep things consistent, you can put it in the installation directory as that’s where you will find so many of the dlls associated with ERPM. After you extract it, open a command prompt, change to the directory where you extracted the dll and register it using the regsvr32 command.

    Example: Regsvr32 RouletteIntegrationLinux.dll

This fix is included in version 4.82 and later of both ERPM and RPM.
