Problem
When database management is finished or work done in the database is complete, connections should normally be closed at the end of the work. Sometimes, database connections are not closed properly for a variety of reasons. This can lead to erroneous logging or other undesired events.
Steps for Determination:
Starting with version 4.82 of Enterprise Random Password Manager and Random Password Manager, a new logging option is available which must be created in the host system's registry.
CAUTION! Improperly editing the registry can lead to system instability or data loss. Be sure to backup your registry prior to making any modifications. Lieberman Software is not responsible for any lost data or system corruption.- Open regedit
- Navigate to
Enterprise Random Password Manger: HKLM\Software\[Wow6432Node\]Lieberman\PWC\Program Options
Random Password Manager: HKLM\Software\[Wow6432Node\]Lieberman\RPM\Program Options
- Add new DWORD: m_bLogADOConnectionEvents
- Set new DWORD value: 1
- Restart ERPM/RPM
Logging entries will be kept in the main program log for all interactive work or in the deferred processor log for all scheduled work.
